Five Injured in Crash Near Savannah Tuesday Evening

Five people suffered injuries in an Andrew County crash Tuesday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 5:40 Tuesday night on Highway T, two miles west of Savannah, as 40-year-old Savannah resident Robin L. Bowman drove westbound.

Troopers say a northbound vehicle driven by 72-year-old Kansas City resident Dennis M. Newman failed to yield to Bowman’s vehicle and struck Bowman’s Pontiac in the driver’s side.

Bowman and three minor passengers all suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic in Saint Joseph.

Newman also suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic.

Authorities say everyone wore proper seat belts at the time of the crash.
