Former Andrew County Sheriff Named to State Board
Former Andrew County Sheriff Bryan Atkins has been appointed to the MIssouri Board of Probation and Parole by Governor Mike Parson.
Atkins served as Andrew County Sheriff from 2009 through his retirement in 2020. Before being elected as sheriff, Atkins served as a deputy in the Andrew County Sheriff’s Office. Atkins also has prior military service, serving in the Missouri Air National Guard and rising to the rank of Master Sergeant.
He is certified by the Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission, holds certification from the U.S. Air Force Basic Military Training and Crash Rescue Fire School, and graduated from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy.
Atkins was among 15 individuals appointed to various statewide boards Thursday, but the only one from the listening area.
