A former Harrison County Sheriff’s Deputy entered a guilty plea to one misdemeanor charge on Friday.
Kevin Lawson appeared in the Circuit Court of Harrison County on Friday and entered a plea to Tampering with a Public Record. Lawson was placed on probation for a period of two years with a backup sentence of 6 months in jail.
Lawson was initially charged with two felony counts of tampering with physical evidence. The Harrison County Prosecuting Attorney dismissed those felonies as part of the plea deal.
