Forty-two Receive Diplomas at South Harrison’s Graduation

BETHANY, MO – Forty-two graduates made up the South Harrison Class of 2023.  Bruce Williams addressed the class during Sunday’s graduation in the high school gymnasium.  Williams spoke highly of the senior class, reminiscing of his time with many of the students as a long-term sub; during which they climbed to the top as one of his favorite classes throughout his years in education.

Twenty-two of the South Harrison graduating class completed the requirements for the Missouri A+ program, which was designated by the South Harrison Board of Education following commencement.

Rowan Hendren was named valedictorian and Brooklyn Russell, salutatorian.  The top ten percent also included Cassidy Davidson, Luke Sweat, and Marie Cookson. In her valedictorian speech, Hendren spoke about how she and the other seniors spent years looking forward to graduation only to now look back wishing for one more time for each high school experience.

The class honored their former classmate Jeremiah Lamm with an empty seat.

The final day of classes for the remainder of South Harrison students will be on Friday.
