Four Westboro Residents Injured in Atchison County Crash Thursday Night
Four Westboro, Missouri residents were injured in a Thursday evening crash in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Route C, a mile west of Westboro, when a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Bonnie S. Womeldorff was heading eastbound.
Troopers say Womeldorff went off the north side of the road, struck an embankment, became airborne, struck another embankment, and came to a rest.
Womeldorff was taken by LifeFlight to Mosaic Medical, in Saint Joseph, for treatment of serious injuries.
Three passengers in the vehicle, 18-year-old Makayla S. Kephart, 19-year-old Eathen J. Colwell, and 28-year-old James R. McDonald, suffered minor and moderate injuries and were taken to Fairfax Community Hospital and Shenandoah Medical Center for treatment.
Troopers say only Womeldorff was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
