President Donovan called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m., with six members present.

Dr. Copple and Board Secretary Corwin were in attendance.
Bradford motioned, Dowell seconded to approve the agenda. 6-0
Dowell motioned, Bradford seconded to approve Monday, August 16, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. for next
regular meeting. 6-0
Bird motioned, Dowell seconded to approve the June 17, 2021, open minutes. 6-0
Riley motioned, Bird seconded to approve and pay the July 2021 bills. 6-0
Dr. Copple presented his report.
Dr. Copple reported to the Board the new full-time staff members for 2021-2022: Nikki Berry, Elementary Special Education Paraprofessional, Lacey Boone, 1st grade, Hayley Boyd, 2nd grade, Brant Burns, High School Agriculture/FFA, Sheri Croy, 2nd grade, Hope Degan, Elementary/Middle School Special Education Teacher, Janece Gibson, Special Education Paraprofessional, Nichole Gregornik, Library Paraprofessional, Mariah Huston, 5th grade, Aaron Lewis, 6th grade, Cole Lockhart, High School English, Dalton Rosenbach, 6th grade, Shelly Salisbury, Title I Paraprofessional, Cru Taff, 3rd grade, Sariah Williams, 2nd grade, Stephen Wood, Middle School Special Education Teacher. Penny Gardner will be teaching High School Physical Education, Carly Talbert will be teaching Elementary Art and Courtenay Treece will be teaching Elementary Special Education.
After the board reviewed material variances Dowell motion, Heldenbrand seconded to finalize the 2020-2021 expenditures at the end of the year. 6-0
Bird motioned, Heldenbrand seconded to approve the MSBA 2021-B Policy updates. 6-0
Heldenbrand motioned, Dowell seconded to approve Policy GCPB – Resignation of Professional Staff Members that includes penalty for late resignation. 6-0
Bradford motioned, Heldenbrand seconded to set Monday, August 16, 2021, at 5:50 p.m. for tax rate hearing with regular meeting to follow. 6-0
At 8:06 a.m. Dowell motioned, Bird seconded to go into closed session for discussing personnel 610.021(3) Bird, yea Bradford, yea, Critten, absent, Donovan, yea, Dowell, yea, Heldenbrand, yea, and Riley, yea.
The Board returned to open at 8:11 a.m. with Heldenbrand leaving the meeting at 8:08 a.m.
Bird motioned, Dowell seconded to accept Monica Riley’s resignation. 5-0
Bird motioned, Riley seconded to offer Nichole Gregornik, a Library Aide position for the 2021-2022 school year. 5-0
Dowell motioned, Bird seconded to offer Rebecca Boyd, a Custodial position for the 2021-2022 school year. 5-0
Dowell motioned, Bird seconded to offer Dallas Engel a Bus Driver position for the 2021-2022 school year. 5-0
Bradford motioned, Riley seconded to offer Lacey Boone a 1st-Grade Teacher position for 2021- 2022. 5-0
Having no further business, at 8:12 a.m. the Board voted to adjourn on a motion by Dowell, Riley seconded. Bird, yea, Bradford, yea, Critten, absent, Donovan, yea, Dowell, yea, Heldenbrand, absent, and Riley, yea.
