A one-vehicle accident early this (Friday) morning in Daviess County has left a Gallatin man with minor injuries.

According to the accident report From Troop H of the Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Gallatin resident Daniel E. Butts was driving a 2001 Dodge pick-up northbound on Missouri Route 190 one mile south of Jamesport at 1:58 A.M. when he lost control of the vehicle, going off the east side of the roadway where the truck overturned.

Butts was wearing a seat belt at the time but still suffered minor injuries. He reportedly drove himself to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

At 5:43 A.M. the Highway Patrol reports Butts was arrested for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash. Butts was reportedly released from custody.
