Gallatin Man Jailed on Burglary, Harassment Allegations

GALLATIN, MO Daviess County authorities have filed formal charges against a Gallatin man for an incident alleged to have taken place on Monday.
In a statement issued by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Jared Holcomb is said to have engaged in a verbal argument over the phone before traveling to the victim’s apartment where he forcibly entered, breaking the latch off the door frame. The investigating officer said the verbal altercation continued, placing the victim in fear for her safety.
Holcomb is charged with Burglary in the first degree; Harassment in the first degree; and Property Damage in the first degree. He is incarcerated in the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail, bond has been denied pending further order of the court.
