GEC Community Foundation Announced Recipients Of Operation Round Up Grants

The Trustees of the GEC Community Foundation announced another round of education grants through the Operation Round Up program.

Those awarded included the South Harrison School with $930 for National Geographic book sets and early childhood special education books, the North Harrison School with $780 dollars for 4 STEM robots, the Cainsville School with $980 for classroom seating and materials, the Mercer School with $458 for classroom seating and materials, the Trenton School District with $470 for books, and the Newtown-Harris School with $150 for an FCS classroom kitchen appliance.

The funding is made possible through the voluntary Round-Up Program which allows GEC members and customers of the Public Water Supply District Number 1 to voluntarily round up their utility bill to the next even dollar.

The next grant application deadline is July 1st.
