Gentry County Bridge Work Set to Resume

The Walnut Fork Bridge on Gentry County Route E will begin in April.

The bridge, located one and a half miles east of U.S. Route 169, will be replaced by North Central Bridge, LLC, contracted by the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Crews plan to close a segment of Route E at the bridge on Monday, April 17.

Crews expect to reopen the bridge by mid-June.

The bridge, built in 1934, and rehabbed in 1994, was classified as in poor condition during its most recent inspection.

Motorists will need to use an alternate route during the closure.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
