Golf Cart Wreck In Benton County Leaves Excelsior Springs Woman With Serious Injuries

A golf cart wreck in west-central Missouri’s Benton County left an Excelsior Springs woman and Higginsville man with serious injuries Saturday night.

According to the Highway Patrol accident report 35-year-old Higginsville resident Steven R. Faught was driving a Parcar Golf Cart at Bill Bryant Drive and Duck Street in Benton County at 8:25 P.M. Saturday when the golf cart hit a speed bump and overturned.

Both Faught and his passenger, 31-year-old Excelsior Springs resident Elizabeth J. Curtis, were ejected from the golf cart. Both reportedly suffered serious injuries in the accident and were taken by Warsaw Lincoln EMS to Bothwell Regional Heath Center in Sedalia for treatment.
