Governor Scheduled to Sign Budget Bill Today with State Worker Pay Increase

(MISSOURINET)- Missouri’s state workers are gearing up for another pay increase. Governor Mike Parson is scheduled to sign today a state budget bill that includes boosting pay for all of Missouri’s roughly 55-thousand state workers. The plan would give them an 8.7-percent pay increase and a two-dollar-per-hour bump in pay for group care employees working nights and weekends. Missouri has about seven-thousand state worker job openings.

The bill signing would put the pay raises in place March 1.
