Gower Man Accused in Infant Death Enters Plea

The Gower man who allegedly abused an infant to the point of death entered a plea in a Clinton County courtroom.

Missouri’s Casenet system says Dillon Ray Livingston was formally arraigned on Wednesday and entered a plea of not guilty. Bond has still been denied with a new bond hearing set for next week.

According to a probable cause statement filed with the court, officers were dispatched to a residence in Gower on February 12th in regard to an unresponsive infant. The 5-month old child, Jaxon Ray Livingston, was transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital where he was diagnosed with abusive head trauma. The child died of his injuries on February 16th.

An autopsy discovered the child suffered from fractured ribs and head trauma doctors say are not consistent with CPR. The autopsy also found bruising on the child’s head and arms.

Livingston is charged with felony second-degree murder and two different counts of non-sexual abuse or neglect of a child; one with a charge of injury and the other abuse charge resulting in death.
