Graceland and NWMSU Student Services Funding Renewed

Both Graceland University and Northwest Missouri State University announced Student Support Services federal funding has been renewed for another 5 years. Northwest Missouri State University and Graceland will receive just over $336,000 annually through 2025.
The federal funding comes from the U.S. Department of Education. Graceland uses the program for academic advising and support, tutoring, financial aid understanding, a Steps to Success course each semester, graduate school planning and other options to 180 first-generation, income eligible Graceland students. The idea of the program is to increase the retention and graduation rates of those students.
Northwest’s funding is used for similar programs. Northwest’s Student Support Services was launched in 1988. Graceland’s history with a Student Support Services program has covered 42 years.
