Grant City Teen Injured in Deer-Involved Crash Thursday Night

A Grant City teen suffered injuries in a Worth County crash Thursday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 10:30 Thursday night on Highway 46, a half mile west of Grant City, as a 16-year-old male teen drove eastbound.

Troopers say the teen attempted to avoid a deer in the road, crossed the center line, traveled off the north side of the road, and struck a tree.

The teen suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at the scene.

Authorities say the teen did not wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
