Graves Comments on Federal Infrastructure Bill

Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06)

Northern Missouri Congressman Sam Graves says Congress moved away from its traditional approach to highway funding and finds transportation money stuck in limbo.

Graves, the top Republican on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, says the House approach in the past was to have the top Republicans and Democrats on the committee agree to a bill before moving to the full House for debate. . .

Graves says he has worked on three transportation bills during his time in Congress, none ever topping 400(B)Billion dollars. The bill ballooned to 1-point-2(T)Trillion this year, but even then, would pass, according to Graves, if it were not pinned to the passage of the 3-point-5(T)Trillion dollar spending bill backed by President Biden.
