Graves Pleased With River Improvement Funding In Corps 2021 Work Plan

Missouri 6th District Congressman Sam Graves says northern Missouri will benefit from the funding included in the 2021 Work Plan of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The funding includes $500,000 to begin a feasibility study for navigation improvements on the Lower Missouri River that Graves says is the start of a process to improve the navigation of the river severely impacted by the 2019 flood. There were a total of 8 investigative studies announced for funding nationwide.

Graves also says over $96 million dollars was also approved to fund dredging on the Upper Mississippi River between the Missouri River and Minneapolis.
