Graves Says Rosecrans Upgrades Needed Before Landing New Cargo Planes

(Missourinet) Disappointing, but not devastating.

That’s how northern Missouri Congressman Sam Graves describes the news that the Air Force has bypassed the 139th Airlift Group in St. Joseph in awarding four other Air Guard units new, upgraded C-130 cargo planes.

Graves says the Air Guard base at Rosecrans Memorial Airport had some deficiencies in the Air Force scoring which cost it the new C-130J planes to replace its aging fleet.

Graves expects the 139th to get the new planes, eventually.
