GRM Networks Announces Grant Opportunities For Improving Rural America

GRM Networks has announced an offer of grant opportunities to local organizations through a partnership with the Foundation of Rural Service. The Foundation of Rural Service if the philanthropic arm of The Rural Broadband Association.

The partnership will offer grants to local organizations in efforts to enhance the quality of life in rural America. Grants will be awarded in the categories of Business and Economic Development, Community Betterment, Education, and Telecommunications Applications.

Grant requests may range from $250 to $5,000. GRM Networks will contribute 10 percent toward the one-time grant. The rest will be funded by the FRS.

The grants will be awarded based on priorities that include a focus on technology, a community’s long-term impact, promoting community participation, a focus on technology and broadband enabled projects, and whether the project could be fully funded by the maximum grant or if least 75 percent of the project is currently funded.

Organizations wishing to apply can review grant information and find the application process at this link. Applications must be completed electronically. The deadline to apply to GRM Networks is August 6, 2021.

Organizations receiving grants will be announced in December.
