Hale Man Found in Contempt of Court

A Hale man facing a pair of felony charges has been found in contempt of court.

Court documents say Gary F. Goodhart faces two felony charges of driving while suspended or revoked and resisting arrest by fleeing.

Records list the two charges from Sunday.

During an arraignment Monday, court documents allege Goodhart exhibited, “disorderly, contemptuous and insolent behavior during said arraignment and in the immediate view and presence of the Court by yelling and cursing at the court.”

The court found Goodhart guilty of direct contempt and he was ordered to spend 60 days in the Daviess-Dekalb County Regional Jail.

That sentence will be served consecutively with all other sentences.

An initial appearance is set for Wednesday.
