Hamilton Family Reunion Leads To $50,000 Lottery Win
A family reunion in Hamilton led a group of 17 to a $50,000 lottery win.
According to a release from the Missouri Lottery, the group of 17 people pooled their money at the family reunion to play the July 8 Powerball drawing.
Their ticket, purchased at the Casey’s General Store at 711 south Hughes Street in Hamilton, matched four of the five white-ball numbers, plus the Powerball number drawn, to win a base prize of $50,000. The winning numbers drawn in the July 8 drawing were 7, 23, 24, 32 and 43, with a Powerball of 18.
Players who purchased tickets in Caldwell County in Fiscal Year 2022 won more than $1.1 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers in the county received more than $113,000 in commissions and bonuses, and education programs received more than $187,000 in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
