Hamilton Woman Injured & Charged in Wednesday Crash in Platte County

A Hamilton woman was injured and charged in a Wednesday morning crash in Platte County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on I-29 as a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Candy S. Simpson was heading northbound.

Troopers say Simpson improperly merged onto I-29 from I-435 and was struck by another northbound vehicle.

Simpson was taken to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Following the crash, troopers arrested Simpson on preliminary charges of felony driving while intoxicated and making an improper lane change.
