Harrison County CARES Act Update

The Harrison County Commission reports almost $209,000 has been paid out from the CARES Act funding received by the County.

Another $55,000 has been approved but not yet paid. These organizations must use the portions of the funds already received before the remainder of the payments can be made.

A request for $81,115 by the Harrison County Emergency Management and a $157,000 request from the North Harrison Fire District were denied because they were not COVID-19 related.

Requests from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office for $41,230 and NTA Ambulance for $376,858 are still pending.
