Harrison County Law Enforcement Assist in Execution of Search Warrant
BETHANY, MO – Area law enforcement worked in conjunction with the FBI in the execution of a search warrant in the furtherance of a federal investigation that originated in the State of Kansas.
On Thursday, officers with the Bethany Police Department and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department executed the search warrant with the assistance of the FBI in the 100 block of South 15th Street in Bethany.
The search was a result of a child pornography investigation that originated in Kansas. Local law enforcement was contacted about the investigation in April by the FBI Child Crimes Task Force. The person of interest was believed to be living in an apartment in Bethany.
A joint statement issued by Bethany Chief of Police Bryan Holloway and Harrison County Sheriff Trevor Place says electronic items were seized by the FBI for analysis and that the federal investigation is ongoing.
