Heavy Rain A Factor In Livingston County Highway 36 Accident
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports heavy rain as a factor in the cause of an accident on Highway 36 in Livingston County Monday morning.
The Patrol reports 57 year old Walter Frazer of Weston was driving a pickup eastbound on Highway 36 and could not see a vehicle ahead of him in heavy rain. He swerved attempting to avoid the vehicle but hit the back end of another pickup driven by 58 year old Julie Gorham of Braymer. Gorham’s vehicle went down an embankment and struck several trees. Frazer’s vehicle also went off the roadway and stopped in the median.
Julie Gorham’s vehicle received extensive damage. She had minor injuries from the accident and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
The accident took place one mile west of Utica at 7:45 Monday morning.
