Hemple Man Injured in Buchanan County Crash Thursday

Troopers report a Hemple, Missouri man suffered injuries in a Buchanan County crash Thursday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred on U.S. 36, near Highway 31, as a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Victor F. Kretzschmar drove eastbound.

Authorities say Kretzschmar traveled off the north side of the road, went into the median, traveled across the westbound lanes of U.S. 36, and struck a ditch.

Kretzschmar suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic in Saint Joseph.

Authorities say Kretzschmar was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
