Highway Patrol Reports Adair County Drowning

A Kirksville man died in a drowning incident in Adair County on Wednesday afternoon.
The Missouri State Patrol reports 32 year old Nathan Stafford of Kirksville was swimming in the deeper end of the swim area at the Forest Lake Swim Beach area at Thousand Hills State Park, went under, and did not resurface. The victim died at the scene of the incident.
The drowning is the 1st of the month for Troop B of the State Patrol. It is the second drowning of the year.
