Hit and Run Side-Swipe Leaves Two Kearney Teens With Minor Injuries

Two Kearney teens were left with minor injuries after their vehicle and another were side-swiped by a hit and run driver Wednesday evening.

According to the accident report from Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Kearney resident Keenan M. Richardson and an unidentified 13-year-old female Kearney resident were passengers in a 2021 Toyota Tundra being driven northbound on I-35 in southern Clay County at 6:16 P.M. Wednesday.

That’s when the Patrol says their vehicle and a 2019 Nissan Versa were both side-swiped by an unidentified vehicle that left the scene.

Richardson and the 13-year-old female both suffered minor injuries in the accident and were taken to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment of their injuries. There were no injuries reported from the occupants of the Nissan.
