Hundreds of Missouri Soldiers Continue Helping Hurricane Victims

(Missourinet) About 300 Missouri National Guard members are in Louisiana with chainsaws, dump trucks, water trailers and skid steers helping with Hurricane Ida recovery efforts. A spokesman for the National Guard tells Missourinet the soldiers are in two Louisiana cities providing humanitarian support, debris removal and general assistance. They are from the 110th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade in Kansas City and the 35th Engineer Brigade in Fort Leonard Wood. They are expected to return September 17.
