I-70 Program Lead Says Entire Corridor Cannot Shut Down During Project

(Missouri Net) Missouri is gearing up to share preliminary information on a project to widen I-70 to at least three lanes from the Kansas City to St. Louis areas.

Public open house meetings will be held to share construction schedules for the 200-mile stretch of road and the next steps.

Eric Kopinski, with MoDOT, says at the end of this month, there will be seven public meetings along the I-70 corridor.

Construction is tentatively set to begin in Spring 2024. The first segment that will be under construction is Columbia to Kingdom City.
