IA Governor Envisions Rural Renaissance Possibilities in Leon Visit

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds tied in the Jefferson Highway Dedication held in Leon Friday to the Governor’s Empower Iowa Initiative. The Jefferson Highway tied in the idea that more Americans were wanting to own cars but needed passable routes. Reynolds says Iowa could be primed for a Rural Renaissance with the internet as a tool.

Reynolds says the Empire Iowa Initiative could be used as a tool toward that end.

The Governor signed the Empower Iowa Initiative in May.
