Illinois Man Arrested On Multiple Charges After Leading Authorities On Chase

A high speed chase that started in Linn County ended in Livingston County Thursday night, and resulted in the arrest of an Illinois man on multiple charges.

According to information from local law enforcement, just after 9:30 P.M. Thursday authorities in Chillicothe were advised of a high speed chase on Highway 36 that was entering their area from Linn County and had reached speeds of over 100 miles-per-hour.

A Chillicothe officer deployed spike strips on U.S. 36 Highway just west of the U.S. 65 overpass and successfully spiked the fleeing vehicle’s tires. A second set of spikes was successful deployed by Livingston County Deputies near the Grand River Bridge.

The suspect vehicle continued westbound while losing speed and exited the highway entering the city limits of Utica. The car then finally stopped but the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

The suspect, now identified as 25-year-old Bethany, Illinois resident Tyler J. Tadlock, is now facing charges of felony possession of controlled substance – cocaine, felony resisting arrest, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, and speeding.

Tadlock was booked into the Caldwell County Detention Center on a 24-hour hold.
