Interviews Underway to Fill Missouri Supreme Court Vacancy

Interviews are underway to fill a vacancy on the Missouri Supreme Court. Alisa Nelson reports.

The Appellate Judicial Commission is interviewing all 25 applicants for the position vacated by Laura Denvir Stith. She retired in March as a Missouri Supreme Court judge. Interviews began Wednesday and will continue Thursday and Friday.

The commission is expected to select three nominees from the applicant pool on Friday and recommend them to the governor. Then Governor Parson has 60 days to appoint a nominee to the court.
