Intoxicated Driver from Independence Overturns Truck in Clay County

An intoxicated driver from Independence overturned a truck in Clay County.
Accord to reports from the Missouri Highway Patrol, 25-year-old Anthony G. Almoguera from Independence was driving while intoxicated south on I-29. At 1:39 Tuesday morning, he was unable to stay in a single lane and drifted to the right, striking a guardrail.
Almoguera returned the F-150 to the roadway and overturned onto the left side of the truck. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt and he totaled the truck.
Almoguera suffered only minor injuries and he was released to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment.
