Intoxicated Sex Offender Arrested after Accident
After an accident in Caldwell County, an intoxicated sex offender was arrested.
According to reports from the Missouri Highway Patrol, 57-year-old William D. Gardner of Wheeling, Missouri was driving north on Route-A at Wolf Grove Drive three miles south of Breckenridge at around 5:34 pm Tuesday.
Gardner wasn’t wearing a safety device when his vehicle ran off the east side of the roadway, overturning multiple times before coming to rest on it’s wheels facing south.
Gardner’s vehicle was totaled and he suffered moderate injuries.
Gardner was placed under arrest for a class E felony of failure to register as a sex offender, misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, failure to display valid plates, purchase a motor vehicle without transferring certificate of ownership, no insurance, and no seat belt.
He was released to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
