Investigation Continues After Human Remains Found In Union Star

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department says an investigation continues after human remains were recovered from a residence in Union Star on Wednesday.

The human remains were found when a search warrant was executed at 163 North 2nd Street in Union Star in reference to a missing person investigation. Human remains were found on the property. The identity of those remains is unknown at this time.

The DeKalb, Daviess, Buchanan, and Andrew County Sheriff’s Offices and the Union Star Fire Department also provided assistance at the scene of the investigation.
