The January antlerless deer season will open January 11th and closes January 23rd. The season is open in five counties, including Decatur and Wayne.

Iowa hunters have reported harvesting 91,000 deer so far during the 2021 season.

Iowa DNR will hold town hall-style public meetings in late February. Those meetings will provide updates on hunting and trapping seasons, and provide time to discuss possible changes to hunting and trapping rules and regulations. Meeting dates and times will be announced once the locations are finalized.
