Iowa Hunting/Trapping Season Changes To Be Discussed At Area Meetings Next Week

Meetings hosted by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to recap the recently-completed hunting and trapping seasons and discuss possible changes.

One of the meetings for the region will be held Monday evening in Creston. It will be held at 6pm Monday, February 21st at the Multi-Purpose Room of the Southern Prairie YMCA. Another meeting is planned on Wednesday, February 23rd at the Chariton Community Center Rooms A & B.

The meetings are open to the public. Comments collected from these public meetings will be considered along with other related comments received by the Iowa DNR prior to proposing changes to hunting rules and regulations. Proposed rules will be presented to the Natural Resource Commission during a regular public meeting for consideration and additional public comment.
