Iowa Resident Arrested Following Accident in Atchison County

An Iowa resident was arrested following an accident in Atchison County Tuesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that at 7:55 P.M. an accident occurred in Atchison County. The driver in the accident  Shenandoah, Iowa resident 39-year-old Bobbi J. Christo was heading northbound on US-59 when her vehicle travelled off the East side of US-59. Her vehicle returned to the roadway, travelled off the west side of the road, struck an embankment and began overturning. the vehicle came to rest on the drivers side facing northwest off the west side of US-59.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Christo following the accident and she is facing charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijauna for 10 grams or less, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to drive on the right side of the roadway.

Passenger of her vehicle was 47-year-old Shenandoah, Iowa resident David A. Ryan who was taken to Shenandoah Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Christo was booked into the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department on a 24 hour hold.
