Iowa Woman Injured in Morning Crash South of Cameron

A Nevada, Iowa woman suffered injuries in a Clinton County crash this morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred on I-35, about two miles south of Cameron, as a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Jared N. Guzman headed southbound.
Troopers say Guzman’s vehicle blew a tire, partially went off the road, and overturned.
As the vehicle overturned, it struck the passenger side of a southbound Freightliner driven by 51-year-old Derby, Kansas resident Thomas L. Smith.
A passenger in Guzman’s vehicle, 41-year-old Blanca M. Perez Garcia, suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Cameron Regional Medical Center.
Authorities say all involved wore seat belts at the time of the accident.
