Jamesport Resident Seriously Injured In Buggy-Pickup Accident On Highway 190

A passenger in a horse-drawn buggy was seriously injured in an accident involving the buggy and a pickup truck south of Jamesport Wednesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 22 year old Ethan Brown of Hale was driving a pickup truck which hit the horse-drawn buggy while heading east on Missouri Highway 190, 7 miles south of Jamesport, at 3:20pm Thursday afternoon. Brown had crested a hill. The buggy went off the side of the roadway and overturned after the impact with the pickup truck. 84 year old Naomi Detweiler of Jamesport was a passenger in the buggy. She was seriously injured and taken to Mosaic Life Care in St Joseph. 84 year old Eli Detweiler of Jamesport was the driver of the vehicle and not listed as injured in the patrol’s report.
