The next Winston School Board Meeting is on Monday July 19th at 7pm. The agenda is attached.
Monday August 2 is the last day that the Daviess County Health is conducting student physicals. Call the health department to make an appointment.
Hopefully everyone is having a great summer. Summer School ended Thursday. Those students that earned attendance rewards will have them sent in July. We averaged around 30-35 kids each day and 5-6 A+ students earning mentoring hours toward receiving the A+ scholarship.
Daviess County Library Summer Reading Program information. Fridays at the Winston city park from 11am-noon. Starting May 28th.
The next ACT testing date after that is September 11th. Registration must be completed by August 6th.

Summer improvement projects being completed this summer include:
- Renovation of the girl’s and boy’s locker rooms. The locker rooms are being completely refurbished with new epoxy flooring, windows, fixtures, paint and partitions. Plumbing in showers in being reconfigured to remedy the hot water issues.
- More concrete drive/parking will be installed.
- They gym windows will be enclosed, an exhaust fan and air intake will also be installed.
- Multiple classrooms are being repainted.
- Floors are being cleaned and waxed where it is prescribed.
- Additional water bottle station installed by the cafeteria
- Softball Scoreboard has already been installed

August 9 – First Possible Day to practice Varsity fall sports
August 16 – First Possible Day to practice Junior High fall sports
August 17-20 – Teacher In-service
August 19- Open House
August 24 – First Day of School
