Juvenile Reportedly Runs From Cameron Police During Wednesday Traffic Stop

Cameron Police report taking a juvenile into custody during a Wednesday traffic stop.

A late Wednesday evening post on the Facebook page for Cameron Police and Emergency Management says officers conducted a traffic stop around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday near Second and Main.

During the stop, the officer talked to three people in the vehicle.

Authorities say one male juvenile ran from the stop heading southbound.

Police later found the juvenile in a backyard near Cherry and Cornhill Street.

He reportedly ran again, and authorities ultimately apprehended the juvenile at Prospect and Chestnut.

Police reported finding drugs, two loaded handguns, and cash in the vehicle.

Authorities took the juvenile to a detention center to await formal charges.
