Kansas City Driver Seriously Injured Following Accident Late Friday Evening

A Kansas City driver was seriously injured following an Interstate 35 accident late Friday evening in Harrison County just south of the Iowa-Missouri border.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 29 year old Ian Gorham was traveling northbound on I-35 at the 113 mile marker around 9:45pm and failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle went off the side of the roadway and into the median. The vehicle then struck the median crossover and overturned several times. The vehicle eventually came to rest on its driver’s side.

The driver was flown to a Des Moines hospital.

The accident took place at 9:45 Friday evening. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, the Missouri Department of Conservation, the North Harrison Fire, and the Decatur County Fire and EMS assisted the Highway Patrol.
