Kansas City Man Injured in I-35 Crash Wednesday

A Kansas City man was injured in a Clay County crash Wednesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on I-35 when a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Kansas City, Missouri resident Terrik D. Kelley was heading southbound.

Troopers say Kelley attempted to overtake another southbound vehicle being driven by 46-year-old Maysville resident Jeremiah R. Nicholson and struck the towed unit of Nicholson’s vehicle.

Kelley suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment.

No injuries were reported for Nicholson.

Troopers say both men were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
