Kansas Governor Wins Sports Bet She Placed On Chiefs in 2022

(MISSOURINET) – While Missouri waits to see if lawmakers will pass a sports betting bill, the governor of Kansas just won money on a bet she placed last year. On the day Kansas’ sports wagering bill became law Governor Laura Kelly was the first in line to place a legal bet:

And that 15-dollar bet resulted in a 165-dollar payout, according to TV Station KMBC:

Kelley says she’ll donate her winnings to Mahomes’ “15 and the Mahomies Foundation,” a children’s charity founded by the Chiefs’ quarterback.
