Troopers report the arrest of a Prairie Village, Kansas man Saturday in Holt County following a traffic crash.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 3:01 Saturday afternoon on Highway 118, five miles west of Mound City, as 66-year-old Clark W. Rogers drove westbound.

Authorities say Rogers went off the north side of the road, struck a stop sign, went down an embankment, and came to a rest.

Rogers suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Fairfax Hospital.

Troopers say Rogers did not wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Following the accident, authorities arrested Rogers on preliminary charges of felony driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender and careless and imprudent driving involving a crash.

Authorities booked Rogers into the Holt County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
