Kansas Man Injured in Holt County Crash Thursday Morning

A Lenexa, Kansas, man suffered injuries in a Holt County crash Thursday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 8:34 Thursday morning on I-29, at mile marker 74.8, as 49-year-old Richard L. Tooley drove northbound.

Troopers say a northbound tractor-trailer driven by 58-year-old Union Star resident Richard A. Goldizen Sr. struck the rear right of Tooley’s vehicle, skidding off the west side of the roadway.

Authorities say Tooley returned to the road, went off the east side of I-29, and struck a guardrail.

Tooley suffered minor injuries.

Authorities say both men did wear seat belts at the time of the crash.
