KC Driver Injured In I-29 Accident
A Kansas City driver was injured following an accident Tuesday morning on I-29 near St Joseph.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 24 year old Drake Summers of Maryville was in a parked vehicle on the shoulder of I-29, 3 miles north of St Joseph, when another vehicle, driven by 62 year old Ronald McCart of Kansas City, swerved to avoid a vehicle that had slowed to avoid a crash. His vehicle struck the Summers vehicle. Eventually, McCart’s vehicle went off the side of the roadway and overturned. It landed on its top. McCart received moderate injuries from the accident. He was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St Joseph.
The accident took place just before 10am Tuesday morning.
The Andrew County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Highway Patrol.
