A Kearney man was left with moderate injuries after his vehicle was hit in the drivers side early Tuesday morning in Lafayette County.
The Highway Patrol says 34-year-old Kearney resident Nicholas L. Elridge was driving a 2015 Dodge Charger at the intersection of Missouri Route 23 and Highway 20 in Lafayette County just before 7 A.M. when a 2015 Ford F150 being driven by 42-year-old Waverly resident Miguel Grado Melendez failed to yield at a posted stop sign and struck the Elridge vehicle in the drivers side.
Elridge was wearing a seat belt but still suffered moderate injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
Melendez was not inured.
